Summary

Following a relationship breakdown before a child’s birth, contact was refused and serious allegations were raised. Through SKB Law’s careful preparation and court representation, regular contact was established and the case progressed to a shared care arrangement.

The challenge

After the relationship ended, the other parent refused all contact and raised allegations of controlling and abusive behaviour. These claims led to police involvement and delayed progress through the family court.

This meant that a relationship between parent and child had little chance to develop without court intervention.
